On the Association Edgar Faure website, we redesigned the pages covering editions of the political literature prize. Winners, covers, booklets and juries now form a consistent journey, adapted to the documents available for each year.

The starting point
The edgarfaure.fr website presents Edgar Faure, the association and the Prize’s history. Its annual pages bring together varied documentary material: posters, books, jury lists and ceremony booklets. Our work focused on presenting these editions within the existing WordPress site, preserving their addresses and useful archives.

The screenshot shows the page for the thirteenth edition: ceremony introduction, winning book, official booklet, shortlist and jury members.
The challenges
Readers need to find the winner, shortlist and jury without relearning each page’s organisation.
Posters and booklets provide the ceremony’s context. They needed to remain accessible alongside a direct presentation of the main information.
Shared prizes, additional awards or missing covers: the template needed to accommodate these differences without inventing documents.
What we did
Created an edition template with title, date and location, winner introduction, archives, book shortlist and jury.
Applied the template to annual pages using the available content and documents.
Highlighted winning books and additional awards in winner sections and book cards.
Integrated historical booklets to read or download as PDFs, with their cover and an introduction to their contents.
Added section navigation and access to the next edition.
Published within the existing WordPress site, with a prior backup and checks of the published pages.
This case study covers the redesign of edition pages on edgarfaure.fr. Technical support for the website accompanies this work. The prixedgarfaure.fr website is a separate project.
WordPress redesign
The redesign fits into the existing website. Pages keep their addresses while each edition’s content gains a dedicated presentation.
Sections and styles are reused across years, with the text, images and awards specific to each ceremony.
PDF booklets, posters and covers accompany the page. A book can still be listed when its cover is unavailable.
The redesign relies on a backup of the previous content and checks of the public page after publication.
For visitors
The 2019 page navigation provides access to the edition, winner, booklet, books and jury.
The winning book and the Œuvre engagée awards are identified in the 2019 shortlist cards.
A section introduces the historical document and offers options to read it or download the PDF.
Who visits, and why
Find a winning book, its author and the other books presented that year.
Consult dates, juries and historical documents for a specific edition.
Revisit a ceremony and continue exploring with the next edition.
What the project delivers
These items describe the published functions and work completed. No change in traffic or Prize attendance is quantified here.
Each redesigned page brings together ceremony information, books and jury in a consistent structure.
Booklets remain available as PDFs alongside the information adapted for on-screen reading.
Links to the next edition let visitors explore the Prize’s history year by year.
