Case study · Targeted redesign and support

Completing song pages with cover artwork and listening links.

On Rodolphe Oppenheimer’s existing WordPress website, we reworked discography pages and integrated a gallery of 29 music videos. Artwork, release years and listening links now give track pages meaningful content, with support for new music releases.

The starting point

The project context.

The artist website brings together a discography, videos and music archives. Track pages already had their own addresses but displayed only their names. Visitors arriving directly on one found neither artwork nor a listening button. The Videos section was also empty before our September 2026 work.

The screenshot shows the updated template: visible artwork, title, year, Spotify button and return to the catalogue. It was taken on the public website in September 2026.

The challenges

What needed to be addressed.

  1. 01

    Completing landing pages

A song can be discovered through a search engine without visiting the homepage. Its page needed to present available information and allow visitors to continue listening.

  2. 02

    Respecting music information

A title, version and release date need to match the correct recording. Missing information stays missing; a release year does not become a composition year.

  3. 03

    Making room for music videos

Videos published on YouTube needed to be accessible from the website with thumbnails and titles, without loading every player at once.

What we did

The work, step by step.

  • Redesigned the discography page template: square artwork, title, available year, supplied listening link and return to the discography.

  • Adapted the page for desktop and mobile, preserving visual continuity with the existing theme.

  • Verified the display of all 184 pages present during the 5 September 2026 intervention.

  • Added 124 missing years from Spotify release dates after matching track titles.

  • Integrated 29 music videos in the dedicated section: thumbnails, player opened on click, direct links to each video and access to the YouTube channel.

  • Provided editorial discography support: added new tracks and supplied artwork, checked and corrected listening links.

This project covers targeted journey redesign and support for an existing website. It does not claim original creation of the entire website, artwork or music.

Existing WordPress site

Templates adapted to musical content.

The work uses editable track and video content already available in WordPress. It improves their presentation without replacing the rest of the website.

  • Conditional track pages

The page displays the year and listening button only when those fields are filled in. Artwork retains its square format.

  • Sourced dates

Added years correspond to recording release dates on Spotify. Catalogue publication order was preserved.

  • Video on click

The gallery initially displays thumbnails. The YouTube player opens on request; the template also remains compatible with existing MP4 videos.

For visitors

What you find when you arrive.

  1. 01

    Artwork alongside the title

The “Angle mort” page brings together the song’s artwork, name and year 2026 in one presentation.

  2. 02

    Explicit access to listening

The Spotify button opens the associated recording. The return link leads back to the homepage track selection.

  3. 03

    A populated Videos section

Anaelle, Brune et blonde and Elle parlait aux oiseaux are among the 29 videos. Each entry has a play button and YouTube link.

Who visits, and why

  • Discovering a song

Arrive on a track page, identify the title and artwork, then open the available listening link.

  • Exploring the catalogue

Browse the homepage discography and access streaming platforms through linked tracks.

  • Watching a music video

Open the Videos section, choose a video by title and thumbnail, then start the player or visit YouTube.

Observed improvements

More complete music pages.

These observations describe delivered features and verified content. No audience or listening growth is attributed to this work.

  1. 01

    A standalone usable track page

A track page presents its artwork and available information. On “Angle mort”, visitors can open Spotify or return to the discography.

  2. 02

    A better-documented catalogue

At the 5 September 2026 check, 134 pages displayed a verified Spotify release year. Unsourced dates were not filled in through assumptions.

  3. 03

    Videos accessible on the website

The section brings together 29 videos with individual access. The embedded player loads on request, and a link also lets visitors watch on YouTube.
