We support Z Architecture’s WordPress website: updates after backups, display fixes and checks of project pages and the homepage slider.

The starting point
An architecture practice’s website carries its image and projects. Work needs to preserve portfolio pages, the homepage slider, forms, legal notice and mobile display while keeping WordPress and its plugins supported.
The challenges
The website uses WordPress, Bridge, WPBakery and Slider Revolution. A poorly targeted fix can affect project pages, the slider or mobile display.
Requests concerned visible issues: footer, iPhone display, mobile spacing on a project page and a slider shortcode appearing after an update.
WordPress and plugin updates need prior backups and subsequent checks of key pages.
What we did
Performed an initial audit of the website, plugins, updates, footer, GDPR compliance monitoring, cookies and tracking scripts.
Backed up files and database before significant work, with rollback folders.
Updated WordPress and plugins including Yoast SEO, Contact Form 7, UpdraftPlus, Really Simple Security, Slider Revolution, WP Super Cache and other supported components.
Fixed mobile display on the Decathlon project page: removed overlap between the heading and first image, with before-and-after measurements.
Reactivated and checked the homepage slider after a shortcode appeared as plain text.
Corrected display and configuration: footer, footer logo, number display on iPhone, local fonts and cookie banner.
Verified pages critical to the practice’s image and contact: home, projects, references, blog and contact.
Performed a targeted check of Wordfence/WAF status after a client alert.
Under the hood
The website uses WordPress, the Bridge theme, WPBakery and Slider Revolution. Work takes these dependencies into account to avoid breaking public display.
Significant work is prepared with file and database backups, a technical inventory, gradual updates and checks of pages important for the portfolio and contact.
Fixes are applied at the appropriate level: CSS, plugin, WordPress option or theme file when needed, with a rollback option.
For visitors
The website highlights the practice’s projects. Work therefore prioritises stable project pages, visuals and the homepage slider.
The journey needs to keep contact details, the contact page, practice information and legal notice accessible.
Plugins essential to public display are identified, activated when needed and checked after updates.
Who visits, and why
View projects, understand the practice’s style and find contact details without encountering visible errors.
Continue managing content and projects in the WordPress website supported by 2Cafés.
Quickly correct a visible issue, then check that important pages remain usable.
What the project delivers
The items below describe the functions and documented work for this project. They are not measurements of traffic, enquiries or revenue.
Significant work includes a backup, planned fixes and checks of affected pages.
The Decathlon project page no longer allows the heading to overlap the first image on mobile, with no desktop changes.
The plain-text shortcode was replaced with the working slider. Reported issues are fixed and then checked on affected pages.
